Your Healing Journey is a Process and Every Session Matters
In my Clinical Christian Counseling sessions, we use a variety of approaches to meet your unique needs. This may include talking and sharing openly, exploring emotions, and analyzing thoughts and behaviors to gain insight and clarity.
One approach that I commonly use alongside these methods is the Arno Profile System (APS), which provides a framework for understanding temperament and relational patterns. In my private practice, I integrate principles from the APS through two complementary approaches:
Temperament Therapy and Creation Therapy
Temperament Therapy helps us understand the inborn relational and emotional needs that shape how you connect, lead, withdraw, pursue, or protect yourself. By identifying these patterns, we reduce shame, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of meeting legitimate needs.
Creation Therapy builds on that foundation by integrating a Christian understanding of personal responsibility, spiritual growth, and character formation. Together, these approaches honor the way God uniquely designed you while also inviting you into maturity, freedom, and intentional choices that align with your faith and values.
As we work, you will also learn how to identify negative thought and behavior patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Awareness creates empowerment; when patterns are brought into the light, they can be changed. Counseling provides a safe and supportive space to explore these dynamics honestly, practice new ways of thinking and responding, and move forward into healthier thoughts and behaviors with greater confidence and security.
